Keep Payson Clean (KPC) is a community-driven 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to strengthening Payson and the Rim Country through service, connection, and local pride — with a growing focus on the mental and emotional well-being that comes from caring for our environment together.

What began as simple clean-up efforts has evolved into a movement rooted in the understanding that time in nature, shared purpose, and meaningful relationships directly impact mental health. Research consistently shows that being outdoors, engaging in physical activity, and serving alongside others reduces stress, anxiety, and isolation. KPC intentionally creates those spaces.

Through community cleanups, service days, and large-scale gatherings like Earth Day and 9/11 Day of Service, residents step outside, move their bodies, breathe fresh mountain air, and experience the satisfaction of visible impact. Youth leadership is central — empowering students not only to take ownership of their town, but to build confidence, resilience, and belonging.

After each service effort, neighbors gather to share meals and conversation. Eating together strengthens social bonds and combats loneliness — one of the most pressing mental health challenges in rural communities.

KPC is not just about beautification. It is about cultivating wellness, connection, and pride — building a community where people feel seen, supported, and proud to call Payson home.
